What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital version of a traditional SIM card that’s built directly into your device. Like a physical SIM, it allows smartphones, tablets, and supported laptops to connect to mobile networks—without the need to insert or replace a SIM card.

With Roamjoy eSIM, you can instantly access local mobile networks in your selected destination. If your data plan expires or you run out of data, simply top up your existing eSIM to continue enjoying seamless connectivity without changing your SIM.

How to use Roamjoy

Get online in three simple steps.

  1. 01

    Choose a location

Roamjoy offers coverage for over 200 locations — you can select coverage for a single country, an entire region, or even the whole globe.

  2. 02

    Select a package

Every package includes an amount of data valid for a period of time — some packages have unlimited data, others include calls and texts.

  3. 03

    Install and connect

When you're ready, install your eSIM — installing takes a few minutes and requires an internet connection.

Device compatibility

To use a Roamjoy eSIM, a device must meet the following conditions:

  • The device supports eSIMs.
  • The device is not carrier or network-locked.
  • The device is not jailbroken (iOS) or rooted (Android).

Our list is updated regularly, but not exhaustive — if you don’t see your device, check with the manufacturer to confirm it supports eSIMs. Note that some regional models may not support eSIMs.
